PORTFOLIO
Better Money Habits
Better Money Habits is Bank of America's financial know-how program. A big undertaking in 2015 was migrating the site over to the BofA site. Not only was this project a re-design of the site, but it was also a challenging exercise to merge multiple content sources each with its own unique taxonomy, business requirements, and stakeholders. My role on this project was to lead the experience design efforts and advocate for the best user experience for the target audiences.

ATOMIC DESIGN APPROACH
The challenge:
The Better Money Habits site is from many perspectives a very content heavy site. In the process of re-designing and migrating the site a lot of thought went into creating a flexible framework that will be future-proof and allow for ongoing content production.
The Solution:
To support this requirement our design approach was constructive and systematic. We created page templates from the ground up, considering the most basic page elements and how they come together to form components.

PERSONALIZATION & CUSTOMIZATION
The Challenge:
Better Money Habits has a broad range of target audiences. The site aims to offer financial know how to practically all audience groups. In today's day and age, when users expect content to be quickly accessible we needed to find a way to both cater to all audiences, but at the same time allow for targeted navigation and a personalized experience.
The Solution:
To support such vast and diverse audience groups the site needed to personalize and customize users' site experience. A number of automated personalization features were developed alongside some active personalization features. Once such tool is the Life Priorities widget, which allows users to answer 3 simple questions and get a curated list of articles, infographics, and videos tailored to them.

THE BMH RESOURCE CENTER
The Challenge:
Bank of America's Better Money Habits's mission is improving the financial wellbeing of all individuals. In partnering with a number of non-profit organizations and BofA employee volunteers BMH sought to offer resources to help educate communities across the country. Our BofA customers asked us to design a portal to arm these volunteers with the relevant know-how and resources.
The Solution:
A self-service portal with curated content and downloadable materials for lessons on a broad range of financial topics.
I am proud to say that this site won a Gold place in the FCS awards of 2018.
